Comment
Add a CommentI liked this book, despite the slower pace that was maintained throughout the body of the story. However, the end was worth the wait. It's not a huge, game changing ending, but it is just one that is well-suited to the story and the characters.
Book Club?
This book appeared on Stephen King's best of 2010's list. While I have had little luck with the "King of horror" choices, this is an exception. While the middle is a little slow the climax is worth the effort A good read!
A fascinating story of kidnapper/serial killer and Elizabeth, a teenage girl he kidnaps but leaves alive. Told in present day and in 1985, the year she was kidnapped.
Nominee for 2011 Edgar Allen Poe Award for Best Novel
I enjoyed this book, and loved the ending.
