Not "Above Average". This episode of Robie & Reel struggles to be "Average".

4-4 1/2 stars. The fifth book in Baldacci's excellent Will Robie and Jessica Reel series did not disappoint. Both Robie and Reel have gone their separate ways since their last mission in Mississippi caused them to be injured. After…

Story starts out strong and believable great characters middle slow and boring ending so stupid and unbelievable. I found it hard to finish but kept trying. Not recommended.

David Baldacci knows how to weave a story--but not in this book. It was boring and slow moving. It was also filled with errors that elite operatives would never have made, and inconsistencies that ruined the story. It felt like the…

Have read the whole Will Robie series and I loved it. What I would like to see is another book with Robie and Reel. The John Puller series is another great 4 book series that could use some more added stories.

I enjoyed The End Game in that it kept me turning the pages. It is a bit like Robie and Reel do McGyver. Some of the action is hard to believe but that's surpassed by its entertainment value. Some here have said the plot of The End Game is…

OK but a bit too "contrived" in places. Has lots of "filler"/

While I enjoyed this book, I was mildly irritated that the author didn't bother to check his own work. In the first Robie book, Blue Man has granddaughters, in this book he has never married or had children. The new director of the CIA…

I love this author. Strong men AND strong women. In my opinion, this is his best story. I couldn't put it down and read it way too fast. When reading a good story, I never want it to end. This was one of those. Baldacci includes just…

Perfect day? A comfortable chair, a good reading light, 2 or 3 crisp red apples, and a brand new Baldacci novel to read. Great or not-so-great, his books are always enjoyable. This book, while it isn't one of his better titles, is still…

I have enjoyed Baldacci for many years, but this one was a disappointment from beginning to end. It is 100 pages too long, filled with meaningless dialog and plot tangents that add nothing. It reads like a teenage adventure story. Robie…

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found that it wasn’t as intense as some of Baldacci’s other books which made this quite a fast read. Will Robbie and Jessica Reel are together again in the search for their boss who has disappeared. The…

Only read half then turned it back in to the library. This is a huge book filled with minutia and wanderings. Quite a disappointment.

I don't seem to enjoy this genre as much as I used to. I think a lot of these authors are putting out too many books and not living up to their original standards. I continue to pick the books up at my library because I can't seem to say…

I've read many Baldacci books from other series like the Camel Club and Memory Man as well as several stand alones. This book, End Game, will be my first and last Robie/Reel book. Maybe because of the ridiculously high body count, which…

David Baldacci begins the End Game with Will Robie against 16 armed terrorists and ends with Robie and Jessica Reel facing similar odds. In between there are similar incidents with a tale being spun around the killings. I did determine…

Unfortunately I am one of the few that disliked this book so much I stopped reading it after 25 pages in. Will Robie is the smartest, fastest, strongest, handsomest...............the writing style of David Baldacci has deteriorated from…

His héros are rather antagonistic thus reducing their effectiveness. Ah yes love/hate to increase the tension. Are the people of rural America really this nasty, one hopes not but increasingly the writers of crime fiction are removing us…

Another great Baldacci book, this one the latest in his Will Robie & Jessica Reel series. Really interesting story line relating to re-purposing abandoned missile silos, illegal drugs, hate groups, and much more. My only concern is not…

The Agency's most lethal couple returned as a team to locate their former boss. Great actions from start to finish. Knock off 1/2 a star for the not too original crimes and villains. As in prior series featuring the duo, Robie was the…

Great work David, this is another well done thriller with Will Robie. Again I was stumped. You will enjoy as always.

Another great thriller by Baldacci who never disappoints and seems to get better with each book!! Loved it.
