Very comprehensive examination of the Royal bond with areas of England, dating back over ten centuries, even before the time of the Norman Conquest. The documentaries stick generally to a region for each, looking at castles, palaces, cathedrals, and other buildings, examining the Royal story and the backdrop of English history against both the larger context of British history and the Continent. As expected, it does require your attention, but much of the material over these hours is of interest, particularly for those with an appreciation for the monarchy.
