A fun, easy read about starting up a restaurant with her husband.

An enjoyable and easy read. You want this joint in your neighbourhood. However I found her first book, a story about her coming-of-age, far more interesting.

Charming and interesting. I signed up for her blog as a result of reading this book.

This is a charming memoir from food blogger Molly Wizenberg (Orangette). Short chapters are followed by recipes (no pizza recipe, alas), and the narrative clips along at a brisk pace. It would be fair to say that this memoir is centred on food, but it is the journey that makes this book work. The development of the author's relationship with her husband is paralleled with the creation (and evolution) of their restaurant. As with so many such experiences, the author discovers unexpected things about herself that she might not want to have known.

Even if you are not in the process of opening a restaurant this is an interesting read about relationships and keeping a marriage going while tweaking a restaurant business.

I enjoyed her book, Homemade Life, much more. It's funny because I think the one thing that maybe she talks about too much in both books is her husband. In this book, she starts off talking so much about her husband that is gets too be almost annoying (note, in her other book, I thought she talks too much about her husband on the last half!) Halfway through, the chatter about her husband tapers off and it turns into a pretty good story. I haven't heard of a book from the perspective of young restaurant owners so that was really interesting. She is a talented writer and her style is appealingly addictive. Could not put down this book after the halfway point!
