Written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie as the fifth installment for the Mission Impossible series, this American action-spy flick depicts the activities of IMF agent Ethan Hunt who tries to prove the existence of the Syndicate, a mysterious international terrorist consortium.
Although Ethan Hunt's jumping to the running-off plane as a hook appears gripping, the rest of the actions seem lukewarm and less exciting.
The autobike chasing looks great yet somewhat unrealistic and unbelievable, if not fake.
The story seems complicated for the sake of complexity.
In any case, I enjoyed it as an entertaining piece.

Not quite as good as Ghost Protocol, but still decent.

3.5/5 stars. Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation is an American spy film directed by Christopher Mcquarrie. Released in 2015, Rogue Nation is the fifth installment in the Mission Impossible series. Tom Cruise is crucial to the quality of this movie. His commitment to the character, stunts, and the role as a whole is inspiring. He really gives his all to these films, and it shows in his performances. There are many clever scenes and plans throughout the movie, with witty plans concocted by the main characters to save the world from The Syndicate, a criminal consortium made up of rouge special agents. The movie definitely delivers on high octane thrills and action. However, the series’ generic plot points start to become very worn by the end of the movie, and little is done to remedy the problem this lack of uniqueness creates. It leaves the watcher with a movie that was fun, but hardly memorable by the end. Overall, I would recommend this movie to anyone looking for a fun watch, but don’t expect to come away from it with anything new or absolutely amazing.

Omg, this was an amazing movie. I loved the special effects and the acting was totally amazing. I loved the plot of the movie which made the storyline amazing as well. This movie was so entertaining and I absolutely loved the action scenes in the film, they made the film so much better. Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin did an amazing job in the movie, the way they portrayed their characters was impeccably astonishing. I think that anyone can enjoy this movie. I totally recommend this movie to ages 14 and over. I give this movie a 4.7 out of 5 stars. You should absolutely give this movie a watch. - @terrificbooklover of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

We know he's not going to die, we just want to know how he's not going to die. An entertaining action film. Search youtube for Ben Stiller Tom Crooze for a laugh.

Disappointing drivel without good action to make it stand up. In an action movie you want to get lost - Suspension of Disbelief. Nearly every scene has a shallow plot device that just has my head shaking - which means I'm out of the movie and into my head, disbelieving. Direction is terrible, with actors all playing over the top in a cartoonish way. Cruise features himself prominently in the flick, and his facial expressions, empty but passionately delivered lines and stoic determination to persevere against the whole freaking world grow increasingly tiresome as the movie drags on. Fight scenes show numerous flaws in fighting technique and missed opportunities. All in all: flat, confused, simple minded and missing any real focused drive in the plot. This is a bullet to the back of the head of Cruise's Ethan Hunt.

The Red Box from IMDb quote collection:

Ethan Hunt: It's a red box. The British government uses them to transport state secrets.
William Brandt: Doesn't sound good.
Benji Dunn: Meaning it's triple-encrypted. You're not getting into that thing unless you have fingerprints, retinal scan, and a voice phrase spoken by a specific individual.

Sexual Content: Ilsa is seen wearing a very sleazy bikini and another time wearing a tank top and underwear. We see her from the back changing her shirt, obviously not wearing a bra.

Violence: Ethan is punched several times while tied up, and is nearly tortured by a man called The Bone Doctor, who lives up to his name. Lots of shooting. Fatal car and motorbike crashes. People are hit by cars. Someone falls and obviously lands on a deadly spike, though the camera cuts out just before. Knife fights. A car explodes with people inside. Ethan drowns but is revived by defibrillators.

Coarse Language: sh---, he--, da--, (though not many uses of each). Also a few misuses of Jesus and Christ.
