A film with an intriguing plot, the Allies lose to the Germans after D-Day goes wrong and Germany invades Britain, taking out London in the process. Too bad it didn't deliver. I am afraid I must be honest and say I found this film really boring within the first 10 minutes. Frankly, if there had been scenes of British London being attacked by the German air force and army, with perhaps some national prestige locations such as the parliament buildings or London Bridge being reduced to rubble, it would have given this film some desperately needed action to move it along. Instead, the radio commentator casually mentions that London has been overrun by the Germans. To make it worse, the film is situated in some desolate location somewhere in Britain (the film makers sure saved a lot of money on special effects, because there isn't any in this film, as well as dreary photography and a lot of flat dialogue. Hollywood war resistance films in the 1940's had more plot and drive than this film. I was extremely disappointed in the waste of otherwise decent British actors and lack of exciting interplay. The British resistance film "Went the Day Well?" is far superior in acting, script and believability. I urge St. Marys Library to try to obtain it. In that film, one can really believe the Germans are ruthless enough to take over a British village. In "Resistance", there was no such credibility as the Germans have heart-to-heart talks with each other and with the British women whom have been left by their husbands joining the Resistance. I never thought I would find a British film not worth my time, but "Resistance" sure wasn't.

I did not find the British made movie interesting.

This alternate timeline war story is really just a slowly unfolding love story. Well-written and well-acted, but not sci-fi.
