Add a CommentIt seems that I'm in the minority, but I found this one pretty boring. It went on and on about their lives but rarely anything of importance or interest. I found both protagonists annoying, although the reasons for Tully's intense drive and desire to succeed is understandable, it was mentioned too many times. Kate was spineless and boring. I'm probably going to skip through this one.
It seems like every time I read a Kristan Hannah book, I am in tears at one point or another. “Firefly Lane” is a very heartwarming warming story of the ups and downs of friendship between Kate and Tully that spanned over 30 years. Tully took the road to stardom while Kate took the road to parenthood. Both girls successful in their own way but life had a way of throwing wrenches into the fire and their lives were no different. Friendship, above all, withstood the test of time and no matter what, they were friends till the end. The postscript was an awesome ending to the book.
Very good reading!
Such a wonderful story of friendship...I laughed and of course I cried...Kristin Hannah certainly knows how to tell a great story!!!
A great book about two friends who came from two different backgrounds and what they experienced through their lives. I am looking forward to reading (listening) to the next book in the series!
