This was a political memoir more than a personal memoir...I was expecting more personal but it was a good insight to the politics of the Kennedy family and their very strong relationships. Politically boring in some places but okay.

I'm a fan of the Kennedy's and Senator Edward Kennedy. I did enjoy this book however I was expecting more of his personal life and NOT as much political "stuff". I still feel he held back on certain areas of his life. The book was boring in parts but I persevered after putting it down and reading and finishing other books first. In the end I'm glad I did finish it.

Memoirs are often too filtered by the author. And in some respects Mr Kennedy filtered what he wanted us to know. Fair enough. He tells his story in a direct and effective way. After all he was one of the most respected senators and he was an effective senator, Championing a national health care system in the U.S.

A very good read

Great Read. I most enjoyed the stories of brotherly support and love. Some parts had a bit too much political insight.
