My scale is 1-5. 1 being poor/low and 5 being great/high.
Age Group: Middle Grade and Up
Cliché?☆☆☆☆☆ -1
Nope, not even a hint. This storyline is pure Cassandra (and her co-writer).
Mythology/Creatures: Vampires, werewolves, warlocks, demons, mundanes, fae, and angels.
Romance: ★★★★★
The perfect balance for this storyline! It wasn't suffocating or too sickly-sweet. I will warn you that this series is very pride friendly as it follows a warlock and his Shadowhunter boyfriend into the battle field.
Mystery: ★★★★☆
I felt that this book was mysterious, not very, but a nice amount for the younger readers. As there was a mystery of who was the head of the Crimson Hand. I can tell you I was blinded until someones cell stopped working.
Angst: ★☆☆☆☆
Not a lot, but a dash with the insecurities that blossom.
Suspense: ★★★★☆
I felt that there was a lot of suspense on how everything will play out.
Character Development: ★★★★★
Love the characters! I find that I read the books that contain the originals characters storylines. I don't want to start out with a new set of characters/Shadowhunters. They either have the OG characters or in the timeframe in such or I don't catch onto reading it (I've noticed). Btw, love Simon and Isabella.
Continue? ★★★★★
Yes, I will! No doubt about it as I want to find out what all happens!
