An expensive looking film with decent cast, period costumes and rich theater set. Nighy played a detective who followed his nose investigating a series of gruesome murders in seedy Limehouse in Victorian London. In the process, he nosed into another suspicious death case, the husband of a music-hall star... hence he and us were led by the nose from clue to clue and suspect to suspect until the film ended. Okay then. However, some biting dialogues on social ills during Victorian times.
