I came into this book with two bias. First, I very much enjoy Harris' work. And second, I do not enjoy the borderline incestuous relationship that had begun in the previous book. That aside, I found it to be a fun, fast read. While the relationship was an inescapable part of the story, it also wrapped out several outstanding questions and led the series to a satisfying point. Given that Harris had said a few years ago that there would be no more Harper stories, this was a blessing to fans. I can only hope that Lily Bard will get similar treatment.
