From page 1 to 37, on the pages where Evans isn't reminding you that Katrina hit New Orleans, she is telling you there is a dead body. There are "excerpts" that may or not be from actual historic documents. Average sentence length is about 8 words. Every clue, description, and thought repeated at least twice (or fifteen times in the case of the dumbbell). I think it is too graphic for a 8-10 year old, (dead body left to rot) but that seems to be the audience intended.
