I saw North by Northwest when I was 13-years-old and enjoyed it to the max. Previously all my viewings of Hitchcock films were with my parents or on television at home with plenty of commercials. The bedroom talk between Eva Marie Saint and Cary Grant was very tintillating to me with my beginning stages of interest in girls. This was 1959 and society was much more reserved than today's audiences can cope with. The movie itself was classic Hitchcock with breath taking scenes of heroism and escapisms. James Mason was perfect as Vandamm, an international criminal who seemingly moved without stoppage. Good color, good music, and fantastic backdrops made this film an on-the-edge-of-your seat viewing. If you don't like North by Northwest then there is something lacking in your character.
