I found this a very slow read. Conceptually, interesting: former Nazi doctor has developed a nonreversible method of sterilization and has fled to America with his research. Enter the present day, where two women have essentially bled to death, with abnormalities in their ovaries. Pathologist Kate Bennet sifts through and tries to figure out what is going on, finding ties to Big Pharma, uninformed patients in unregistered clinical trials, and efforts to discredit her as she makes progress. This has all the makings of a great novel, and yet somehow– it just wasn’t.
